The Museum in a Suitcase is an educational project of the Museum of Veterinary Medicine, carried out in collaboration with the Department of Comparative Biomedicine and Nutrition of the University of Padua. The goal is to sensitize new generations to the themes of integral ecology and respect for nature, through educational paths dedicated to fauna and the environment.
The project includes meetings with schools of all levels, during which children and young people explore the animal world using the tools and methodologies of veterinarians and biologists. From exploring the seabed to analyzing osteological specimens, students learn to distinguish animals, their anatomical characteristics, and the adaptations they have undergone, thus rediscovering the connection between humans and nature.
As Giuseppe Palmisano, curator of the Museum of Veterinary Medicine and coordinator of the project, states: “This educational path is an invitation to rediscover the animal world and respect it, an opportunity to get to know biodiversity up close and our role in its protection.”
